Booking Terms :

1.1

Cottage Hotels Ltd. Is trading under The Thatched Cottage Inn

1.2

The term 'you' refers to the customer entering into a contract.

1.3

A booking means any order for our products or services that is accepted by Cottage Hotels Ltd and / or under the trading name of The Thatched Cottage Inn

1.4

Acceptance will be made by Cottage Hotels Ltd (and a contract concluded) when full payment is recieved from you (the customer)

1.5

There is no agent involved in the booking process, the contract is concluded between you (the customer) and Cottage Hotels Ltd. As the business.

1.6

A booking will be confirmed (i.e. Acceptance of contract) when full payment is recieved or credit / debit card details provided - see section 3.1

Refunds and Cancellations

2.1

For cancellations made outside of 48 hours notice from the morning of check in (14:00hrs) a full refund less a cancellation charge of £40/night per room booked, will be made.

2.2

For cancellations made within 48 hours no refund will be made & Full price will be charged.

2.3

For The Royal Bath and West Show cancellations made within 2 weeks, no refund will be made.

2.4

For The Glastonbury Festival cancellations made within 4 weeks, no refund will be made.

2.5

For The Smithfield Christmas Fair cancellations made within 2 weeks, no refund will be made.

2.6

Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail or Letter, detailing your name, address, booking dates, credit / debit card details in order to arrange a refund where necessary.

Payment

3.1

Full payment for all bookings is required at the time of booking, or credit / debit card details to secure payment at time of check out.

3.2

All Major credit and debit cards, cash and cheque payments are accepted.

3.3

American Express and Diners cards are not accepted.

3.4

We charge and additional 2% on card transactions when 'chip and pin' is not available

Smoking

4.1

Smoking is not permitted on the premises. If a guest smokes in the room(s) there will be an automatic £100 surcharge in addition to the statutory fine of £200.

Broadband

5.1

Free WIFI is available throughout the property

5.2

High speed broadband connection available in each room

Check In / Out Times

6.1

We close the door at 23:00hr, please inform us if you you are planning on checking in after 22:30hr, we do not have a night porter but with 24 hours notice arrangements can be made for a late check in.

6.2

Check in is from 14:00hr. On checking in an electronic key shall be issued that allows access to the building at all times.

6.3

Check out time is 11:00 hours. An additional £20 per hour will be charged for late check out to cover cleaning labour costs.

Rooms

7.1

All rooms are en-suite, non smoking

7.2

All accomodation rooms are on the first floor

7.3

We do not have room service nor a lift but staff will be happy to help with your luggage.

7.4

Hair dryers and irons are available on request.

7.5

The room rate offers breakfast of choice from our breakfast menu

7.6

Breakfast is served from 07:30 hour to 09:00 hours weekdays and 08:00 hours to 09:30 hours Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Dining

8.1

We are an AA Rosette restaurant, we have a lunch menu, light bite menu, dinner menu and Sunday Lunch menu.

8.2

Meals can be taken in the bar or restaurant or in the garden

8.3

Food is available from 12:00 hours to 14:30 hours and 18:15hrs to 21:30hrs.

8.4

Booking a table for a meal is advisable, as we can get very busy with pre-booked tables.

8.5

We can cater for special diaetry needs if you advise us in advance.

8.6

We are unable to offer room service.
